The Bitterroot River offers the rafter or floater an enjoyable trip down one of the more scenic rivers in Montana. The valley is wide and lush, offering the floater excellent views into the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains. Wildlife is abundant, whitetail and mule deer are very common as are osprey and eagles and it is not unusual to see elk or moose. You can learn about the geology that formed the region, hear about Lewis & Clark's trip through the valley, identify and photograph the many animals and birds we will observe along the way or just sit back and enjoy the natural splendor of it all.
