Native Cut - Caught in July on the West Fork
Experienced anglers from all over the world travel to Montana's Bitterroot valley to experience fly fishing for wild trout on this 84 mile stretch of blue ribbon river. With it's legendary hatches of Salmon, Caddis and May Flies, the Bitterroot starts fishing well in March and continues to produce trophy size fish in record numbers through November.

All of our guided fishing trips are flexible and customized for our clients. A trip with first time fly-fishermen is very different than a trip with anglers that have 20 years of fly-fishing experience. Our full day & half day trips with experienced anglers are all about fishing and having fun on the river. We fish from the raft and, depending on our clients wishes, use the raft as access to back channels and braids that are wade fished.

Learning to fly-fish

Just starting out? Our starters trip is designed for you. Learning to cast a fly rod can be intimidating, learning to cast from a raft with other people close by while the raft is moving with the current past the fish (not to mention trees and bushes) is not the way to go.

With our starters trip most of the fishing and instruction are done from the shore. We use the raft to move from spot to spot and each stop includes as little or as much instruction as you would like and the ability to practice your new found skills on fish.

Our number one goal is to laugh and have a fun day on the river with you, if we can have you casting a fly rod and catching fish by the end of the day that's good, if we can get you addicted to fly-fishing by the end of the trip that's even better.
